These are places where people ask a lot of ‘How to’ type of questions. So you can be rest assured that you will also find, ‘How to get business ideas.’ It’s a great way to get niche business ideas.

YouTube Videos

YouTube is a good site to search for how to get business ideas, and the wonderful thing about it is that you get to see the actual person presenting on a topic. You just search for your topic on YouTube and see what you can find there. You’ll find videos on your topic with comments you can read but also sub-topics that can be niche ideas for you.

Online market places such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Alibaba, have great product reviews and these offer a great place to get ideas. The advantage of looking on these market places is that you get the direct customers’ views about a product, which can help you see what can be improved about that same product and you can offer a solution to the same customers with your own improved products. Look at Products at these same online marketplaces for products you might sell. By finding something your audience needs, you can choose a niche based on that product or product type.

See what’s on TV and watch the news for trending topics. You might find something timely a problem many people are facing that you could tackle.

The competition in business can give you an insight on what is in demand and what the current trends are with your particular topics. Check online to see who else is in that niche, what content they’re producing, and what they’re selling.
